Your local council will have a housing department which can help you with keeping your home, or finding a new one.

 

The Citizens’ Advice Bureau also provides housing advice and support.

 

If you are affected by domestic violence, additional support may be available; contact your local Women’s Aid or the National Domestic Violence Helpline.

You may not have to pay court fees, eg if you receive means tested benefits, see www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk or obtain a leaflet EX160A ‘Court Fees – do I have to pay them?’,  and Leaflet EX50 ‘County Court Fees’, from your local court.

If you cannot come to an agreement with your ex partner, you can make an application to the court, or apply to the Child Support Agency  tel 08457 133 133.
