We provide information and support for women before, during and after parental separation and divorce.
Our web site provides information on many aspects of separation from divorce, from understanding the legal system, to building your new life after separation.
Our information is based on women’s experience and relevant research, and aims to help you understand the situation you find yourself in, help you make important decisions, and support you in building your new life after separation.
We are also developing a range of information leaflets and aim to develop specialist counseling services and drop in centres for mothers, and training for professionals working with families affected by family breakdown.
We also represent women’s interests to policy makers and the media, to raise awareness and bring changes which protect the interests of mothers, and their children.
How we can help you
Our aims are:
To provide information, advice and support to mothers at and after parental separation.
To support mothers in helping their children maintain meaningful relationships with both parents, when safe to do so.
To promote research and understanding into the issues facing mothers during and after parental separation.
To promote safe, fair, accessible and effective solutions to custody disputes.
Our aims
Doing the best thing for your children is particularly difficult if your partner or ex partner has a tendency to be controlling or abusive. We provide specialist information on domestic abuse and how this affects women and their children at separation.
