The information provided on our web site is based on women’s experiences, and evidence based research.
We are planning to introduce new information leaflets, which will cover these topics in more detail.
Women’s special contribution towards bringing up their children is not automatically recognised in family law . In addition, women are often not believed in court, especially if they have experienced domestic violence (HMICA, 2005). Our information leaflets will also give more detailed references to relevant research, to help support you when negotiating agreements with your ex partner, and if you become involved in the court system. We hope they will also help you understand the situation you find yourself in, which can be complicated and confusing, and so help you through the process of separation and divorce.
We will be seeking funding to launch the leaflets, which may take some months, so please keep revisiting the site.
